A Random Skid Steer

They were building new concrete pads over at the Base Lake Fam Camp. Benjamin befriended the contractor and got a ride in a skid steer. He also go a ride with some marines in a troop transport who were setting up a picnic. It helps being cute!

Skyfari

The zoo built a ski lift called the "Skyfari".
Alexander fussed almost the whole trip back.
We flew over a rhinoceros. It's the closest I've ever been to one.
This is in the butterfly pavilion.

Safety Day

When I parked a the base gym, we saw there was something going on at the fire station. It was "Wing Safety Day". I amazingly avoided them while I was in the AF, but there was lots of free stuff for Benjamin which he enjoyed. I'm not sure what the deal was, but Benjamin wouldn't jump in the bounce house, he just laid in it. He really liked the "SARC" car magnet. Ryan and I tried to pawn it off onto Uncle Kendall's car and hid it in our trunk, but Benjamin was sad so it's back on our car.

Benjamin loves Trucks

Benjamin went with my parents to pick up their RV (its air brakes weren't working) while Ryan and I were working on the old house.
Benjamin was so excited about all the trucks he was stuttering.

Company Command Interview

We finally broke down and got new cell phones. They're Samsung Rugby phones and are very rugged... Hopefully baby/preschooler proof. We hardly ever use our regular camera now, which is fine for the blog, but a problem for printing photos.
This is from when Ryan was getting ready for his interview to be a company commander. Ryan has quite the presence about him b/c the Bn. commander gave him the job without seeing any of his military records first.

Pudding Painting

Benjamin isn't usually that into art projects, but he LOVES pudding painting.
This was my creation. I call it "Girl with Flowers". Ryan said it looks like a badger in a dress.

Alexander's Name and Blessing

We wanted to have Alexander's blessing before he outgrew the blessing outfit (my mom sewed for Benjamin out of fabric from my wedding dress).
We didn't take any individual photos of Alexander like we did with Benjamin. Alexander hardly has any alone photos. He's getting all the hand-me-downs too, but at least all the toys are accumulated for him so he's got quite the assortment to choose from.

I can't find the transcript of his blessing anywhere. I hope I didn't recycle it with his 2 month Dr.'s appointment information. It makes me sad if I did. Maybe I'll eventually get our office cleaned out and find it.
