After the dual I tried to teach Ethan and Benjamin some moves. Here I was teaching Ethan how to properly execute a cradle. However, the lesson was not very long. Eventually, they just wanted to run around the mat.

UVU Wrestling
I've been talking to Benjamin about wrestling all season, but for one reason or another we didn't make it to watch any matches. Elizabeth was lurking in my e-mail in-box and saw that the UVU/USAFA dual would be at home and it was the only event not in the late evening. We invited Ethan, one of Benjamin's friends to come and watch it with us. However, Benjamin and Ethan are not quite at the age yet to appreciate how awesome the dual was. It came down to the very last match. About half way through the dual, both of them were running around. However, I enjoyed it and cheered myself hoarse.

Alexander is 2!
On Tuesday, when I was picking up Alexander's eye drops because he had pink eye, I let him pick out an early birthday present. It was a bit of a splurge, but I wanted to see what he'd pick without Benjamin being there to influence him. He picked the Cars Toon "Dr. Feel Bad" (the ambulance in the background). It seemed like an odd choice to me because there were a lot of other things I thought more appropriate for him and surely more interesting (e.g. a little people race car set, shake and go Disney Cars, and Thomas engines). He loves that expensive piece of plastic though!
I let him open the presents Grandma mailed a day early so he wouldn't be overwhelmed today and could spread the fun out. Benjamin wanted to "help" and was a bit of a "green-eyed monster" but generally played very nicely/fairly with Alexander's new toys.
I found 2 Thomas play sets on clearance after Christmas. My parents gratefully gave Alexander the Misty Island set and it was a big hit. 
Alexander would have gladly played with it all day had I not kept him out of the apartment all morning so Ryan could sleep since he worked last night.
As is tradition, I took Alexander to get photos taken this morning. I'm glad we discovered giving him M&Ms because it is a sure way to get him to smile. I also appreciate having someone solely dedicated to making him smile at Portrait Innovations. I hope the one in Provo is able to stay in business because we were the only customers the entire time we were there.
I had a hard time choosing between photos because there were so many great ones, but I couldn't see paying to get the CD.
I figured Ryan and his family would appreciate the football and remote photo and Alexander's smile is great.
Alexander talked all day about going to Chuck E Cheese's so he could get soda. Benjamin brought the soda up first. Apparently we don't give our boys soda very often because they were so excited about it and probably each drank 3 while we were there. Talk about sugar overload.
Alexander really he likes the mellow grocery store style rides and spent most of his tokens between a trolley and Jeep. I did convince him to help me "wack a shark" and we won a bunch of tickets. I also played one game of skeeball and Ryan and I again discussed my dream of having a skeeball machine in our basement when we're reestablished someday.
When we found Ryan and Benjamin racing, Alexander wanted to join in. Benjamin is really good at racing and can get 1st place on a lot of the races in Mario Kart on our Wii (I'm usually in 11th or 12th place when we're racing against each other). I'm not sure how much Alexander likes cars on his own, because of Benjamin's strong influence over him... but at them moment he seems to like Disney Cars and Thomas as much if not more than Benjamin.
Alexander didn't want to sit in the car with Benjamin and James which is odd... maybe the Chuck E Cheese in the passenger seat was intimidating. James did not get dropped/injured in the production of this photo (Though, I was concerned about whiplash for the first second).
I never know what Alexander will eat. I made him ice cream cupcakes (without cake) because he generally doesn't seem to like cake or cookies. He wouldn't even try them tonight and opted to eat the sweet-tarts he got from his tickets at Chuck E Cheese (He would eat ONLY sugar -- and of course mommy milk -- if I let him).

I was very conservative with Benjamin very liberal with Alexander when it came to solids. Benjamin eats like a champ and Alexander does not. I'm not sure if it's due to personality difference, but just in case it's not we're back to being conservative with James.
Benjamin was my camera man. He had his finger over the microphone and I didn't include the video of this, but he was also drinking chunky strawberry yogurt through a juice box straw at the same time so there's a bunch of video where the camera is all over the place or staring at his yogurt.
