We started our vacation a day late because we didn't want to leave the house a mess for two weeks. We were able to convince the boys that it would be bad to arrive at the campground at 10 PM at night and camping in our driveway was an okay substitute.
Our adventure began at Jellystone Park in Nashville. We picked the campground because it is part of the tentsfortroops.org program that offers two nights of free camping.
The first thing Alexander complained when we got out of the RV was "Why are there bees here?" (To think we speculated he'd grow up to be a park ranger because he'd act so excited as a baby kicking his legs in the stroller when we went walking in Fontenelle Forest).
The boys wanted to go swimming right away.
Boo-boo rode with us on the "hey hey hay rack ride" (named such because we yelled "Hey" to everyone we saw). The tractor reminded us of Otis from a children's book.
Everyone but Alexander wanted to swim again in the morning before we checked out.
Alexander and I played two games of miniature golf and then he decided he picked the wrong thing and wanted to go swimming. Oh, the drama!
