Life is Interesting

I've been sorting and scanning as I've been trying to clear stuff out for our move. I was going through a "time capsule" my mom made in 1986 and found the program from the Denver Temple dedication. I remember being really excited about the dedication because I turned eight and was baptized the month before, thus qualifying to attend.

The thing that jumped out at me, as I was looking at the program, is the closing prayer was given by "Randy Funk Executive Secretary, Denver Temple Committee". I said to Ryan, "Isn't that the guy who was just at our Stake Conference this last Sunday?" It was indeed the same guy. He's currently an Area Authority, still living in Denver, but becoming a mission president to India this summer.

It's interesting to me that I scanned the program this week and noticed his name... which I could have easily overlooked. Life is full of interesting little coincidences.

Baby Lewis #3

We had my ultrasound today so we could figure out when this baby is due. It's heartbeat was a healthy 171 bpm. I really need to wear my glasses because everything the ultrasound tech typed on the screen looked like "boy" to me (even though I know it's way too early to determine gender). Benjamin kept asking how they got the baby up onto the monitor.
The midwife, Pam, at my first appointment a couple weeks ago, guessed I am due around 3 Oct. The computer today figured 25 September and the Dr. who looked at the numbers gave his two-cents as 23 September. I'm hoping 23 Sep is accurate so that I'm not still about to burst during the Chaplain's conference in Oct.

Ready Set Go!

This video of Alexander is pretty self explanatory. From what I remember he seems to be talking earlier than Benjamin. Alexander does some signs, but if he thinks he can say the word well enough to be understood, he won't do the sign for it.
