Benjamin spent the night at Gram and Gramps' on Friday night. As we were headed out the door, he threw the biggest fit because the neighbor kids, Corwin and Conrad, had ring pops and he wanted one. It just so happened the Easter Bunny (who knew Benjamin was staying at Gram and Gramp's) delivered ring pops in Benjamin's and Alexander's Easter baskets on Saturday morning. After we arrived with Alexander, Benjamin wanted to open his ring pop, as we were all standing around in the kitchen. It was so cute, because Alexander saw what was happening and ran out of the room. He came back with his ring pop in hand... he happened to know just where to find it. He dripped blue ring pop drool all over the place as exhibited by the blue stain under his mouth.

Our normal Easter traditions were a bit modified this year because it was our Church's General Conference and so we had 8 hours of broadcasts to watch with festivities in between.

We had our egg hunt between Saturday sessions. The boys get a big present when they find the plastic carrot. Benjamin was happy to get "Frank the Combine" this year and Alexander got a baby swing.

It was good we only filled each egg with 3 jelly beans or a bunny shaped marshmallow because Benjamin ate all his loot right away. "Frank the Combine" did distract him or he probably would have tried to eat all of Alexander's candy too.

On Sunday morning we partially reenacted the Easter story with our Jesus doll, gospel art picture kit, and some shawls. Ryan was the donkey of course.

Alexander napped inbetween conference sessions and since we didn't get a chance to earlier, Benjamin and I dyed Easter eggs while Ryan read the sports page (sinner... who isn't fully integrated into my Pharasical ways) and tokenly took photos.

Gram didn't have any boiled eggs and we amazingly didn't break any of the raw eggs we were dyeing.
